    Don't ever fly in or out of Brained! My flight out of Brained was delayed because it needed additional de-icing (which takes 45 min), causing me to miss my flight out of MSP and getting stuck at the Airport for six hours. On the flight back, the flight to Brainerd was delayed for four hours because of the weather. Even the flight info screen said that we were supposed to depart at 12:05 the next morning and arrive at 11:09 that night. That two and a half hour drive from MSP to Brainerd is worth your time. And if you don't want to pay for parking at MSP, go to the 28th avenue park and ride east of the Mall of America, park on the fourth level (which is long term), and ride the light rail to the Airport. The maximum you will spend for both light rail tickets to get to and from the airport is $5.

    John and his associates are fantastic, fun, guides. We went on three trips, one of them with John. All the equipment (boat and tackle) were first rate, with careful instructions. You will catch big fish for sure.
